Simbolo ng konsiyerto ng live8

Ang Live 8 ay ang serye ng konsiyerto na ginanap noong Hulyo 2005, sa mga bansang G8 at sa Timog Africa. Pinahon ito pagkatapos ng "G8 Conference and Summit" na ginanap sa Otel ng Gleneagles sa Pertshire, Scotland mula noong Hulyo 6-8, 2005; nagkataon ring ito ang ika-20 anibersaryo ng Live Aid. Nilayon ng palabas na ito na i-pressure o ipagdiinan sa mga pinuno ng mundo na ilaglag o pawalang bisa (patawarin) ang utang ng mga pinakamahihirap na bansa, pataasin at pagpunyayagiin ang tulong sa mga ito, at makipag-ayos ng mas patas na batas kalakalan at pagpapatubo sa interes ng mas mahihirap na bansa. Sampung konsiyerto ang sabay sabay na ginanap noong Hulyo 2 at isa naman noong Hulyo 6. Noong Hulyo 7, nangako ang mga pinunong itataas nila ang kanilang tulong pinansiyal sa 25 bilyong dolyar sa taong 2010.

Mahigit na 1,000 musikero ang gumanap sa konsiyerto na isinahimpapawid sa 182 na estasyon ng telebisyon at 2,000 estasyon ng radyo. [1]
