Laringhitis

Ang laringhitis[1] ay ang pamamaga ng larynx na nasa loob ng lalamunan. Nagiging sanhi ang implamasyong ito ng pamamalat ng tinig o lubos na pagkawal ng boses dahil sa iritasyon ng mga kwerdas pangtinig (mga tiklop pangboses). May pamamaga na tumatagal lamang ng iilang araw (akyut), subalit mayroon namang humihigit sa tatlong linggo (kroniko).[2]

Kabilang sa mga dahilan ng pagkakaroon ng laringhitis ang paglusob ng mga birus, bakterya, at fungus; mga pamamaga dahil sa sobrang paggamit ng mga kwerdas pantinig[3][4][5][6][7]
katulad ng sa pag-awit o dahil sa pagiging guro na palagiang nagsasalita; iba pang sanhi ang sobrang pag-ubo, sobrang pag-inom ng alak, at sobrang paninigarilyo.
