Ang Fits ay ang pangalawang LP ni White Denim sa label ng European na Full Time Hobby Records,[1] kasunod ang mga critically acclaimed releases ng 2008 debut ng EU na Workout Holiday at US debut Exposion.[2] Ang ikatlong buong album ng banda ay inilabas sa Europa noong Hunyo 22, 2009, at pinakawalan sa Estados Unidos noong Oktubre 20, 2009 sa Downtown Records.[3][4]

Bago ang paglabas ng album, noong Abril 24, 2009, nai-post ng NME ang awiting "Mirrored and Reverse" sa kanilang website, na binigyan ang mga tagahanga ng kanilang unang lasa ng Fits.[5] Noong Hunyo 8, 2009, inilabas ng Dallas na blog na musika na Gorilla kumpara kay Bear ang kantang "I Start To Run."[6] Isang linggo bago ang opisyal na paglabas ng album, pinayagan ng NME ang mga mambabasa na mai-stream ang buong album sa pamamagitan ng kanilang website.[7]
