Allah

Ang Allah ( /ˈælə,_ˈɑːlə,_əˈlɑː/;[1][2] Arabe: ١ّللَه, romanisado: Allāh, IPA: [ʔaɫ.ɫaːh] (
listen)) ay ang salitang Arabe para sa Diyos ng relihiyong Abrahamiko. Sa wikang Ingles, pangkalahatang tumutukoy ang salita sa Diyos ng Islam.[3][4][5] Inisip na hinango ang salita sa pamamagitan ng pagpapaikli ng al-ilāh, na nangangahulugang "ang diyos," at sa lingguwistika, may kaugnayan ito sa El (Elohim) at Elah, ang Ebreo at Aramaikong mga salita para sa Diyos.[6][7]
Ginagamit ang salitang Allah ng mga mga Arabe na may iba't ibang relihiyon simula pa noong bago ang panahong Islamiko.[8] Mas partikular, ginagammit ito bilang isang katawagan para sa Diyos ng mga Muslim (parehong Arabe at di-Arabe) at Kristiyanong Arabe.[9] Ginagamit ito kadalasan, kahit na hindi ekslusibo, sa ganitong paraan ng mga Bábista, Baháʼí, Mandaean, Indonesiyano at Kristiayanong taga-Malta, at Hudyong Mizrahi.[10][11][12][13] Nagdulot ang kaparehong paggamit ng mga Kristiyano at mga Sikh sa Kanlurang Malaysia ng kontrebersiyang pampolitika at legal.[14][15][16]
