Ang aleph (o alef o alif, isinasatitik bilang ʾ) ay ang unang titik ng mga Semitikong abyad, kabilang dito ang Penisyong ʾālep 𐤀, Ebreong ʾālef א, Arameong ʾālap 𐡀, Siriakong ʾālap̄ ܐ, at Arabeng alif ا. Lumilitaw din ito bilang Timog Arabeng 𐩱, at Ge'ez naʾälef አ.

Pinaniniwalaan na nagmula ang mga titik na ito mula sa heroglipikong Ehipsiyo na naglalarawan sa ulo ng kapong baka[1] upang ilarawan ang paunang tunog ng Kanlurang Semitikong salita para sa kapong baka,[2] na napanatili sa Ebreong Bibliyahin bilang Eleph 'kapong baka'.[3] Ang uring Penisyo ay umakay sa Griyegong alpha (Α), kung saan nabigyan ito ng bagong kahulugan na ipahayag sa halip ng paimpit na katinig (glottal consonant) ang kalakip na patinig, at samakatuwid ang A ng Latin at А ng Siriliko.
