Paratropis (лат.) — род мигаломорфных пауков из семейства Paratropididae. Центральная и Южная Америка (от Мексики до Бразилии)[2].
Описание
Paratropis отличается от других Paratropididae сочетанием следующих признаков: наличие нижнего тарзального когтя (ITC, inferior tarsal claw) на ногах передней пары I, двух пар спиннерет (задней срединной PMS, posterior median spinnerets и задней боковой PLS, posterior lateral spinnerets), самцы без голенного апофиза, а пальпальный бульбус с эмболусом относительно прямой, тонкий и очень удлиненный; самки со сперматекальными розетками с многолопастным дном[3].
Классификация
Известно более 20 видов. Род был впервые выделен в 1889 году французским арахнологом Эженом Симоном[1][2][4].
