Netelia  (лат.) — род наездников из семейства Ichneumonidae (подсемейство Tryphoninae). Эктопаразитоиды чешуекрылых. Встречаются всесветно. Известно более 330 видов[4]. Род был впервые описан в 1860 году британским энтомологом Джоном Греем[1].

Распространение

Встречаются всесветно. В Палеарктике — около 100 видов. Фауна России включает 38 видов[2][3].

Описание

Наездники рода Netelia обычно имеют полностью оранжевый или коричневато-желтый цвет и средний или крупный размер, с передним крылом длиной от 6 до 20 мм. У них крупные глазки, которые часто касаются сложных глаз, и мандибулы, повернутые на 90°[5]. Их усики и ноги заметно длинные для ихневмонид[6]. В отличие от внешне похожих Ophioninae, на переднем крыле обычно присутствуют жилки 2r-m и 3r-m, причем последняя образует небольшую треугольную ареолу, а жилка Rs сильно изогнута по мере приближения к 3r-m. Яйцеклад также заметный, его длина составляет от 0,3 до 0,7 длины задней голени[5].

Идентификация видов затруднена, поскольку большинство видов похожи как по морфологии, так и по окраске. Единственный надежный способ определения вида — это исследование половых органов самцов, в частности, структуры на пястной кости[6][5][7]. Сильное сходство между видами привело к ошибочным идентификациям, а также к неверным сообщениям о видах, находящихся далеко за пределами своего естественного ареала[5].

Экология

Эктопаразитоиды открыто живущих, обычно голых гусениц чешуекрылых из семейств Noctuidae (около 100 видов), Geometridae (35 видов), Notodontidae (15 видов), Sphingidae (6 видов) и других. Взрослые особи многих видов паразитоидов ведут ночной образ жизни[2].
