Listronotus (лат.) — род жуков-долгоносиков из подсемейства Cyclominae (Listroderini). Новый Свет.

Распространение

Встречаются в Северной и Южной Америке от Канады до Чили[1].

Описание

Мелкие и среднего размера жуки, длина тела от 1 до 14 мм. Рострум среднего размера; опушение состоит из субокруглых чешуек и щетинок; прикрепление усиков дистальное; первый сегмент жгутика усика примерно равен второму или короче его; постокулярные доли имеются, хорошо развиты; надкрылья от продолговато-овальных до удлиненно-овальных, с выпуклые промежутками[1].

Ассоциированы, в том числе, с полуводными и болотными растениями. Питаются листьями (имаго) и корнями растений (личинки). Среди растений-хозяев представители семейств Poaceae, Polygonaceae, Fabaceae, Asteraceae, Salviniaceae, Hydrocharitaceae, Alismataceae, Apiaceae, Malvaceae, Lauraceae и другие[1].

Систематика

Род Listronotus включён в состав подтрибы Palaechthina из трибы Listroderini и близок к родам Gunodes, Haversiella, Inaccodes, Anorthorhinus, Neopachytychius, Palaechthus, Palaechtodes, Steriphus, Tristanodes. В качестве сестринских для Listronotus рассматриваются роды Steriphus (Австралия) и Neopachytychius[1].
