Crocydocinus (лат.) — род морских крабов из семейства Epialtidae инфраотряда Eubrachyura (Majoidea, Heterotremata). Известно около 10 видов. Они обитают на континентальном склоне на глубине от 350 до 870 м в западной и центральной частях Индо-Тихоокеанского региона[2].
Описание
Карапакс достигает в длину до 32 мм и имеет хорошо выраженные области. Дорсальная поверхность и переоподы покрыты толстым слоем щетинок. Печень и жаберные области имеют конические лопасти, выступающие в стороны. Рострум (центральный лобный отросток) состоит из двух прямых, цилиндрических и расходящихся шипов, длина которых составляет примерно одну треть длины остальной части карапакса. Надглазничный выступ отделен от заднего глазничного шипа U-образной выемкой. Передний глазничный угол отсутствует. Посторбитальный шип узкий и тупой[2].
