Zetta

Zetta ou zeta (símbolo Z) é um prefixo do SI de unidades que denota um fator de 1021, ou 1 000 000 000 000 000 000 000.

Adotado em 1991, o prefixo vem do Latim septem, significando sete. pois este é igual a 10007.

Um prefixo de mesmo valor Hepa, foi informalmente introduzido poucos anos antes de promulgação do Zetta. Ele era formado a partir da palavra grega ἑπτά, (hepta), também significando sete. Ele nunca recebeu sanção oficial e atualmente é obsoleto.
