Varredura de ping

Na computação, uma varredura de ping é um método que pode estabelecer um intervalo de endereços IP que mapeiam hosts ativos.

A ferramenta clássica usada para varreduras de ping é fping, [1] [2] que tradicionalmente era acompanhado pelo gping para gerar a lista de hosts para grandes sub-redes, [3] embora versões mais recentes do fping incluam essa funcionalidade. [1] Ferramentas bem conhecidas com capacidade de varredura de ping incluem o nmap para sistemas Unix e Windows e o software Pinger da Rhino9 para Windows NT. [4] Existem muitas outras ferramentas com essa capacidade, incluindo: [2] [4] Hping, aping da IEA, ICMPEnum da Simple Nomad, Ping Sweep da SolarWind e SuperScan da Foundstone. Há também uma ferramenta de varredura de ping para Windows, Mac, Linux, Android e iOS chamada Fing, feita pela Overlook Soft.

Os pings podem ser detectados por registradores de protocolo como ippl.
