Christopher Thomas Prior (nascido em 2 de dezembro de 1990) é um ator inglês,[1] conhecido por seu papel principal como Sergey no drama romântico histórico britânico-estoniano Tulilind. Ele também apareceu em papéis coadjuvantes em Kingsman: The Secret Service e em The Theory of Everything como Robert, filho de Stephen Hawking.

Vida pregressa

Prior estudou na Thomas Hardye School em Dorchester, Dorset.[2] Em 2002, ele atuou em Fire from Heaven, produzido pela Dorchester Community Plays Association.[3] Ele estudou Artes Cênicas no Weymouth College, graduando-se com distinção, antes de frequentar a Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA).[2] Ele se formou na RADA em 2012.[4]

Carreira

A estreia de Prior no West End foi em 2013 em um trio de peças produzidas pelo National Youth Theatre: Tory Boyz de James Graham; Romeo and Juliet; e Prince of Denmark, uma prequela de Hamlet de Michael Lesslie.[5][6][4]

Prior escreveu seu primeiro curta-metragem Breaking the Circle em 2014.[7][4]

Em 2021, Prior estrelou em Tulilind como Sergey Serebrennikov.[8][9] Ele co-escreveu e produziu o filme com o diretor Peeter Rebane.[10] O filme é sobre o romance da vida real entre um recruta, Sergey Fetisov, e uma piloto de caça na Estônia da era soviética. Rebane começou a trabalhar em um roteiro baseado em um livro de memórias de Fetisov. Depois de tomar conhecimento do roteiro, Prior se encontrou com Rebane em Londres.[11]

Prior se identifica como membro da comunidade LGBTQ+.[12]
