Laterallus é um género de aves da família Rallidae. O grupo inclui 9 espécies extantes de sanãs. Os representantes do gênero também são conhecidos pelos termos frango-d'água, galinhola, pinto-d'água, açaná, açanã e saracura-da-canarana.[1]
