Friedwardt Winterberg (Berlim, 12 de junho de 1929) é um físico teórico alemão/estadunidense, professor da Universidade de Nevada em Reno.
Winterberg escreveu um artigo em 2009 estabelecendo que a teoria geral da relatividade de Einstein não pode ser reconciliada com a teoria quântica na tentativa de Einstein de reduzir toda a física à geometria.[1]

The Editors of the Z. Naturforsch. kindly asked us to comment on the article by Prof. Winterberg that they recently published (Z. Naturforsch. A, 59, 715-719, 2004). We have prepared and submitted a detailed reply, but the Editors have declined to publish it as it stands, instead suggesting changes that we find unacceptable. We hope to publish this reply elsewhere.
