Florence Paterson (nascida Nightingale; 3 de novembro de 1927 – 23 de julho de 1995) foi uma atriz canadense.[1]

Vida pregressa

Filha do mecânico e político George Nightingale e de Violet Noseworthy, ela nasceu em St. John's, Newfoundland, onde também foi educada.

Carreira

Paterson lecionou por um tempo e depois se formou em enfermagem. Ela se casou com John Paterson. Ela se juntou ao St. John's Players em 1954, ganhou prêmios em vários festivais de teatro na província e se apresentou na rádio CBC. Ela se mudou para Halifax, Nova Escócia, em 1972, onde atuou com a Neptune Theatre Company.[2]

Ela interpretou o papel de Mary Mercer na peça teatral de David French, Of the Fields, Lately, em 1973,[3] e mais tarde reprisou o papel na adaptação televisiva de Mike Newell em 1976.[4]

Em 1989, ela se mudou para Vancouver, Colúmbia Britânica. Ela apareceu no filme de 1990, Bird on a Wire, na adaptação para a televisão de "It", de Stephen King, também em 1990, como a Sra. Kersh, e no filme de 1994, Little Women, como Hannah. Ela também participou da série de televisão Backstretch, da CBC.

Vida pessoal

Paterson morreu em Vancouver em 23 de julho de 1995 aos 67 anos.[1]
