Cynthia Cooper é uma ativista e contabilista estadunidense.[4][5] Foi eleita pela revista de notícia Time como Pessoa do Ano em 2002, representando The Whistleblowers.[6][3][7]
Em 2002, Cooper e a sua equipa de auditores trabalharam juntos em segredo e, muitas vezes, à noite, para investigar e descobrir 3,8 mil milhões de dólares em fraude na WorldCom, que, na altura, era a maior fraude empresarial da história dos EUA.[8]
