Eupolypods II é um clade de fetos incluído na classe Polypodiopsida da ordem Polypodiales[1]. Este agrpamento corresponde na generalidade à ordem Blechnales descrita por James Lauritz Reveal em 1993[2], mas as famílias incluídas em Blechnales são agora consideradas como inseridas na definição mais alargada da ordem Polypodiales descrita por Smith et al., 2006,[1], razão pela qual naquele sistema o grupo é tratado como um clade informal[3].

Descrição

O clade inclui algumas espécies importantes de fetos, entre as quais Onoclea sensibilis, que cresce como erva daninha na América do Norte, e os fetos do género Thelypteris, um grupo que apresenta notável especiação. Também inclui a espécie Matteuccia struthiopteris, utilizada em horticultura.
