Em entomologia, o termo abelheiro é a designação comum a diversas espécies de besouros, da família dos clerídeos, especialmente os do gênero Trichodes, que se alimentam de pólen quando adultos e, enquanto larvas, predam ninhos de abelhas e/ou vespas.[1]
