Zaglossus hacketti foguèt una espècia d'equidna de bec long que visquèt pendent lo Pleistocèn en Austràlia occidentala.

Descripcion

Aquesta espècia es coneguda sonque per qualques òsses descobèrts en 1914 per Ludwig Glauert[2].

Zaglossus hacketti, fasiá aperaquí 1 mètre de longor, 0,60 mètres de nautor e pesava aperaquí 30 kilos. Es lo mai grand monotrèma conegut [3].

Z. hacketti aviá las patas mai longas e mai drechas que cap autre equidna modèrn. Aquelas patas mòstran que visquèt dins la forèst densa.
