Truman Streckfus Persons, mai conegut coma Truman Capote (Nòva Orleans, 30 de setembre de 1924 – Los Angeles, 25 d'agost de 1984) foguèt un escrivan american. A mai s'aviá ja escrich de libres qu'avián conegut un cèrt succès, foguèt en 1966 gràcias a In Cold Blood, un trabalh jornalistic escrich amb l'ajuda de son amiga l'escrivana Harper Lee, a prepaus de l'assassinat d'una familha de pageses de Kansas, que l'autor coneguèt una notorietat espectaculara als Estats Units.
