Toni Morrison (nascuda Chloe Anthony Wofford, lo 18 de febrièr de 1931 – 2019), es una escrivana americana qu'a recebut lo Prèmi Pulitzer en 1988 (per Beloved) e lo Prèmi Nobel de Literatura (en 1993). Es tanben professora.

Estudièt la literatura anglesa a Howard University (B.A. en 1953) e a Cornell University (M.A. en 1955).

En 1958, se maridèt amb Harold Morrison (an dos mainatges). Divorcièt en 1964.

Escriu sobre la literatura negra. Morrison es membre de la seccion americana deu PEN club.[1]
