Tipe 88

Lo carri Tipe 88 es un carri de combat principau chinés de segonda generacion desvolopat entre 1981 e 1987. Intrèt en servici au sen de l'armada chinesa en 1988. Son objectiu èra de desvolopar un carri de combat capable de rivalizar ambé lei T-62 e lei T-72 sovietics dins l'encastre dei tensions frontalieras sinosovieticas. L'armada chinesa n'adoptèt 540 e lo Tipe 88 foguèt tanben adoptat per Sodan, Iraq, Paquistan e Birmania. Existisse tres versions principalas dichas Tipe 88, Tipe 85 e Tipe 80.
