Pendent l'annada 2210 de la Tresena Edat del Solelh, Thorin I, amb lo sieu filh Gloin e mai nans d'Erebor fondèron una colònia a las Montanhas Grisas, que mai tard seriá mai coneguda encara que la pròpria Erebor e ont los reis i anirián a demorar. Moriguèt l'an 2289 de la Tresena Edat del Solelh. Apuèi regnèt son filh Gloin.
