Lo rusyn[1] o rutèn modèrne[2] es la lenga eslava parlada en Rutènia, sovent classada coma una varietat d'ucraïnian.

Es una lenga indoeuropèa. Al dintre de la familha de las lengas eslavas, aperten al grop eslau oriental amb lo rus, l'ucraïnian e lo bielorús.
