Portimão es una vila e una municipalitat du Portugal. Se situa dins le districte de Faro, dins la region d'Algarve. Es la segonda mai granda vila d'Algarve, comptant en 2011 prèp de 50 000 abitants. Es lo sèti d'una municipalitat de 182,08 km² e amb 55 614 abitants (cens de 2011 INE), subdivisat en 3 freguesias. La municipalitat es limitada al nòrd per la municipalitat de Monchique, a l'èst per Silves e Lagoa, a l'oèst per Lagos e al sud per l'Ocean Atlantic. Portimão es una vila esportiva amb entre autre lo circuit automobila de l'Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, ont se debanan una partida dels ensags ivernals de formula 1. La vila ten una de las mai bèlas plajas de Portugal, la Praia da Rocha.
Economia
Portimão es un important pòrt de pèsca et de comèrci, es tanben una ciutat industriala, especializada dins las òbras navalas et les conservariás de ton e de sardas.
