Al començament i aviá Untermutschelbach, en Vurtembèrg e Obermutschebah, en Bada. En 1806, Untermutschelbach es cedit a Bada per Vurtembèrg.

En 1936, Untermutschelbach es reünida a Mittelmutschelbach e Obermutschelbach dins la comuna novèla de Mutschelbach.

En 1971, las comunas de Mutschelbach, Auerbach, Ittersbach, Langensteinbach e Spielberg son agropadas dins la comuna novèla de Karlsbad.
