Milton Friedman (Nòva York, 31 de julhet de 1912 - San Francisco, 16 de novembre de 2006) foguèt un economista american. Es considerat coma un dels economistas mai influents del sègle XX. Aqueste defensor ferotge del liberalisme recebèt lo Prèmi Nobel d'Economia en 1976 per sos escriches a prepaus de "l'analisi de la consomacion, l'istòria monetària e la demostracion de la complexitat de las politicas d'estabilizacion". Foguèt a l'origina del corrent monetarista e subretot lo fondador de l'Escòla de Chicago.
