Messier 72
Messier 72 (ò NGC 6981) es un amàs globular situat dins la constellacion d'Aqüari. Descubèrt per l'astronòm francés Pierre Méchain (1744-1804) en 1780, es en orbita a l'entorn de la Via Lactèa a una distància de 55 000 ans lutz de la Tèrra. A un diamètre d'aperquí 90 ans lutz.
D'una magnitud aparenta de +9,3 e es d'observacion relativament malaisada per un astronòm amator car un telescòpi poderós es necessari per i observar d'estelas distintas.
