Marian Anderson (21 de febrier de 1897, Filadèlfia - 8 d'abriu de 1993, Portland) es una contralto estatsunidenc dau sègle XX. Nascuda dins una familha negra, aguèt quauquei dificultats au començament de sa carriera en causa de seis originas. Pasmens, en 1925, sa votz li permetèt de venir famosa, especialament gràcias a sei representacions a Nòva York. Ansin, maugrat que lo racisme contunièsse de la privar de certaneis oportunitats, venguèt una estar mondiala a partir de 1930 amb de viatges en America dau Nòrd e en Euròpa. Tanben, trabalhèt amb mai d'un cap famós (Toscanini, Monteux, Ormandy, Horenstein...). Cantava principalament de lieder d'oratorio mai èran egalament capabla d'interpretar d'òbras en provenància dau negro spiritual. Se retirèt en 1965.
