Manuel Ballester

Manuel Ballester Boix (27 de junh de 1919, Barcelona - 5 d'abriu de 2005, Barcelona) es un quimista catalan) dau sègle XX.

Diplomat en quimia de l'Universitat de Barcelona, jonhèt l'universitat estatsunidenca de Harvard de 1949 a 1951. Au començament deis ans 1960, tornèt s'installar ais Estats Units d'America e trabalhèt per lo Departament de la Defensa. Sei recèrcas se centrèron sus la quimia organica, especialament lei mecanismes de condensacions organics, la sintèsi e la reactivitat dei compausats clorats aromatics, l'estudi dei radicaus liures e la reactivitat deis ions carbonats trivalents. Son trabalh foguèt guierdonat ambé lo Prèmi Prince d'Astúrias en 1982.
