Laurion

Laurion es una region miniera grèga situada au sud d'Atenas. D'una superficia de 210 km², assosta de jaciments fòrça importants d'argent, de coire e de plomb. Esplechadas un premier còp de la fin dau millenari II av. JC au sègle I ap. JC, lei venas d'argent foguèron a l'origina de la poissança d'Atenas durant lo periòde classic. En 1860, lei progrès tecnologics permetèron un segond periòde d'extraccion, principalament centrada sus lei mineraus de plomb, que durèt fins a 1977.
