Lo kutchi (o kachchi) es una lenga indoariana parlada en Índia.

Localisacion

La lenga es parlada dins lo districte de Kutch, dins l'estat de Gujarat[1].

Classificacion e dialèctes

Lo kutchi fa partida de las lengas indoarianas del nòrd-oèst, una branca de las lengas indoarianas, que fan partida de la familha indoeuropèa.

Lo kutchi es un dialècte sindhi. La compreneson entre lo vicholi, qu'es lo dialècte de referéncia del sindhi parlat en Paquistan, e lo kutchi es pas dificila. Mas la particion de 1947 entre Índia e Paquistan a separat los dos grops. De mai, la region de Kutch fa tradicionalament partida del Gujarat, e los kutchis se sentisson mai pròches del los gujaratis que de los abitants del Sindh. Tot aquò fa que los kutchis reconneisson pas lo vicholi coma lenga estandard[1].
