Janet Damita Jo Jackson (Gary, Indiana, 16 de mai de 1966) es una cantaira, cantautora, dansaira e actritz de cinèma americana. Desena enfant de la familha Jackson, es la sòrre pichona de Michael Jackson. Comencèt sa carrièra coma actritz quand èra una enfantona amb de ròtles dins de sèrias de television coma Good Times de 1977 a 1979, Diff'rent Strokes de 1980 a 1984, e Fame entre 1984 e 1985. Signèt un contracte musical amb A&M Records en 1982 e venguèt rapidament una icòna de la musica pòp a partir de la publicacion de sos albums Control en 1986 e Rhythm Nation 1814 en 1989.

Durant sa carrièra, Janet Jackson a vendut mai de 100 milions de disques dins tot lo mond.[1][2]
