Lo gueve (o doli-gueve, duli-gewe, gey) es una lenga adamawa, de la familha nigèrocongolesa qu'èra parlada en Cameron. La lenga es atudada.
La lenga es sonque coneguda per un vocabulari de Strümpell (1922-1923) e qualques mots relevats per Baudelaire (1937). Aquel nòta alara que la lenga desapareis[1].
Localisacion e dialèctes
Lo gueve èra parlat près de la ribièra Bénoué dins lo nòrd de Cameron, dins dos vilatges, Douli e Guéwé. Per Kleinewillinghöfer, los dos parlars de Doli e Guewe èran de dialèctes d'una meteissa lenga[2].
Classificacion
Boyd (1989) classa lo douli coma una branca de las lengas duru. Aquela classificacion es seguida per Gordon (2005)[3] que presenta de mai lo guéwé coma una branca cap e tot de las lengas adamawa. Kleinewillinghöfer regèta aquela vision: per el, lo douli e lo guéwé son una sola lenga que fa pas partida del samba-duru, mas que ne'n es pròcha. Evòca la possibilitat d'un ligam d'un ensem adamawa central, dont lo gueve, amb las lengas gor[2].
