Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, òme politic, nascut en 1957, es lo president actual de Nigèria.
En 1999, es elegit vicegovernador de l'estat de Bayelsa. Ne ven governador en 2005 quand lo governador Diepreye Alamieyeseigha es destituit per corrupcion.
En 2007, es elegit vicepresident de Nigèria amb lo president Umaru Yar'Adua. Aquel malauteja a la fin de 2009, e tre febrièr de 2010 lo parlament de Nigèria transferís lo poder presidencial al vicepresident. Ven pasmens oficialament president al decès d'Umaru Yar'Adua lo 5 de mai de 2010.
