Golf
Un golf es una vasta porcion de mar qu'avança vèrs l'interior de las tèrras e que sa dobertura es pro larga en general. De mots parcialament sinonims son lo gorg, la baia, la rada e la conca (var. concha, cònca, còncha).
Per exemple, los dos golfs principals que banhan Occitània son lo Golf de Gasconha, dins l'Ocean Atlantic, e lo Golf del Leon, dins la Mar Mediterranèa.
