Localizacion geografica de Golan

Golan (en ebrieu: רמת הגולן Ramat HaGolan, en arabi: هضبة الجولان Haḍbatu 'l-Jawlān) es un plan situat a la frontièra entre Israèl, Liban, Jordania e Siria. En 1967 Israèl annexèt aqueste territòri de Siria (que lo revindica activament) pendent la Guèrra dels Sièis Jorns e, un autre còp, pendent la Guèrra de Yom Kipur en 1973). Las Nacions Unidas, a travèrs de sa resolucion 242, lo considèran coma territòri ocupat.

Geograficament, Golan es confrontat a l'oèst per un bauç de 500 m, lo Lac de Tiberiàs e lo fluvi de Jordan; al sud per lo fluvi de Yarmuk; al nòrd per la termièra internacionala amb Liban, e a l'èst per una larga plana, sonada Hauran. Golan es generalament devesit en tres regions: nòrd (entre Sa'ar e las vals Jilabun ), centrala (entre las vals de Jilabun e de Daliyot), e sud (entre las vals Dlayot e Yarmouk). Lo platèu de Golan a una altitud compresa entre 120 m e 520 m.
