Georges Frêche, nascut lo 9 de julhet de 1938 a Puèglaurenç (Tarn), mòrt lo 24 d'octobre de 2010 a Montpelhièr, es un òme politic que foguèt president del Conselh Regional de la region de Lengadòc-Rosselhon, president de la Comunautat d'Aglomeracion de Montpelhièr e conselhièr municipal de Montpelhièr. Foguèt deputat d'Erau (en 1973-1978, 1981-1993 e 1997-2002) e cònsol de Montpelhièr (1977-2004).

Especialista de drech roman, es professor onorari d'istòria del drech roman a l'Universitat de Montpelhièr 1, après d'ensenhaments de l'istòria del drech e de las idèas politicas a l'UFR de Drech e a l'UFR de Sciéncias Economicas.

Sos aujòls sortiguèron de Montjòi en Coserans. Son patronim gascon se deuriá escriure Hrèisher.
