FAMAS
Lo FAMAS (ò FA-MAS) es un fusiu d'assaut de calibre 5,56 x 45 mm OTAN desvolopat per França au començament deis annadas 1970. Intrèt en servici au sen de l'armada francesa en 1973 per remplaçar lo fusiu MAS 49 e lo pistolet mitralhaire MAT 49.
L'objectiu de França èra de desvolopar una arma novèla capabla de rivalizar ambé lei fusius d'origina sovietica AK-47 qu'èran superiors ais armas francesas adoptadas après la Segonda Guèrra Mondiala. En fàcia d'aqueu retard tecnologic inquietant, lo govèrn francés reüniguèt donc una importanta còla d'engenhaires e de scienfitics per concebre una arma modèrna que siegue poderosa, d'encombrament reduch, d'utilizacion simpla e d'entretenença aisada.
