Edwin Hubble
Edwin Powell Hubble (Marshfield, Missorí, 20 de novembre de 1889 – Pasadena, Califòrnia, 28 de setembre de 1953) foguèt un dels astronòms americans mai importants del sègle XX. Es famós mai que mai per aver demostrat l'expansion de l'univèrs en mesurar lo desplaçament al roge de galaxias distantas. Hubble es considerat coma lo paire de la cosmologia e mai se son influéncia en astronomia e astrofisica afècta mantun autre domeni. Per omenatjar sas contribucions, lo telescòpi que foguèt lançat en 1990 per la NASA e l'Agéncia Espaciala Europèa recebèt lo nom de Telescòpi espacial Hubble.
