Donetzk (en ucraïnian e en rus: Донецьк), tanben sonada ancianament Iozòvka o Stalino, es una vila d'Ucraïna. Situada dins l'èst del país, sul flume Kalmius, es un dels centres industrials mai importants de l'estat ucraïnian. Foguèt fondada en 1869 per un entrepreneire galés, John Hughes, qu'i construsiguèt una fabrica d'acièr e dobriguèt mantas minas de carbon dins la region. La vila recebèt alara lo nom de Iozòvka (en ucraïnian: Юзовка), a partir de la prononciacion locala ("Ioz") del nom de l'industrial que l'aviá creada. Es de jure la capitala de l'óblast de Donetzk en Ucraïna mas de facto la capitala de la Republica populara de Donetzk, un Estat secessionnista autoproclamat pas reconegut internacionalament levat per Russia al començament de la guèrra amb Ucraïna.
