Lo fluvi de Butroe (basco) o de Butrón (espanhòu) qu'a ua longor de 24,5 km e un bacin de 175 km². Neish a Morga (en Biscaia, au Bascoat) dens los flancs de la montanha Bizkargi. Que trauca las comunas d'Errigoiti, Arrieta, Fruiz, Gamiz-Fika, Mungia, Gatika, Maruri-Jatabe, Urduliz, Plentzia e Barrika. La soa desbocadura que forma la «Ria de Plentzia».
