En 1926, los arrondiments de Barbezieux e Rufec son suprimits. Las comunanas dau primier son annexadas a l’arrondiment de Conhac. Las comunas de l’arrondiment de Rufec son annexadas a l’arrondiment de Confolent.
En 2008, las comunas de l’ancian arrondiment de Rufec passan dins l’arrondiment de Confolent.
En 2017 los limits son chamjats per correspondre a las intercomunalitats.[1]
