America, de còps nomenada las Americas, es un continent que compren tota l'espandida de l'America del Nòrd e l'America del Sud. S'espandís en totalitat dins l'emisfèri occidental e constituís lo Nòu Mond.
La partida centrala del continent es sonada America Centrala, malgrat que la region siá inclusa en America del Nòrd. L'istme de Panamà es lo limit de referéncia entre los dos soscontinents.
Lo primièr còp que s'utilizèt lo nom America foguèt en 1507. D'un ponch de vista europeocentric, mentre qu'America foguèt descobèrta pel viking Leif Ericson en l'an 1000 e redescobèrta per Cristòl Colomb en 1492, lo continent foguèt nomenat segon Amerigo Vespucci, un navigaire toscan posterior a Colomb.
