Albian

Esferas de gres de l'Albian (Sant Andreu de Rosans).

L’Albian es un periòde geologic dau Cretaceu Superior que s'estend de 113 a 100,5 milions d'ans. Prepausat en 1842 per lo naturalista francés Alcide d'Orbigny (1802-1857), a pas encara d'estratotipe oficiau. Pasmens, l'Albian es generalament definit a partir de las sablas verdas d'Auba. Es precedit per l'Atian e remplaçat per lo Cenomanian.
