Alanhon es una aiga d'Auvèrnhe dins los departaments de Cantal, de Naut Léger e dau Puèi de Doma. A la fònt dins los Monts de Cantal au Puèi de Batalhosa (près dau Lioran) e se geta dins l'Alèir au luec dit "Lo Saut dau Lop" (comuna d'Ausac e la Combèla). Participa au bacin versant de Léger[1].
