Agora

Dins la Grècia antica, l'agora (del grèc ἀγορά) designa lo luòc de rassemblament politic e mercantil de la ciutat. Los capeloí n'en son los comerciants. Es una compausanta essenciala de concèpte de polis, fins a qu'Aristòtel tracte los barbars de non civilizats, qu'avián pas d'agora. Dins l'Atenas antica, la majoritat de las institucions politicas (Boleuterion, Elièu,...) avián lor seti a l'agora. Tanben i aviá de bastits religioses e de monuments en onor dels eròis de la patria ateniana. Fin finala, Fòrça escòlas filisoficas donavan sus l'agora, coma l'escòla del Portic de Zenon de Cition. Un resson modèrne seriá lo Speaker's corner d'Hyde Park a Londres.

Es tanbenun tèrme utilizat dins l'arquitecture e l'urbanismedins las vilas modèrnas. Lo forum n'es l'enacion romana.
