Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) es un fabricant american de semiconductors, microprocessors, cartas graficas basat a Santa Clara (Califòrnia). La companhiá foguèt fondada lo 1èr de mai de 1969 per un grop d'engenhaires e de dirigents de Fairchild Semiconductor. Los cofondators d'AMD son Jerry Sanders, Edwin Turney, John Carey, Sven Simonsen, Jack Gifford, Frank Botte, Jim Giles e Larry Stenger. La flècha del logo de la companhiá dirigée cap a la drecha simboliza sa creissença dins lo «drech camin» («the right way»).
