Valhalla

Valhalla [val-hal-la] (juga Valhöll [val-hoel]) dalam mitologi Norse merupakan sebuah dewan besar tersergam dalam Asgard dijaga Odin, dewa pertempuran dan peperangan. Ia merupakan tempat penantian sebahagian golongan pahlawan yang terkorban sewaktu berperang di mana roh-roh mereka diiringi dewi khas iaitu valkyrie, manakala sesetengah roh lain dibawa ke tempat kayangan Freyja milik Fólkvangr. Golongan pahlawan yang dibawa ke dewan ini bersama beberapa tokoh terkenal lain yang turut terkorban dalam pertempuran, di mana mereka akan menunggu dalam persediaan mereka bersama Odin untuk suatu pertarungan terakhir (atau kiamat) bernama Ragnarök.
