Upuna atau nama tempatannya ialah Penyau, merupakan genus yang mempunyai cuma satu spesies sahaja di dalamnya, Upuna borneensis. Nama Upana diperolehi dari nama bahasa Iban ialah "Upan".[2] Nama spesiesnya borneensis pula merujuk kepada taburannya, pokok ini hanya terdapat di hutan hujan tropika Borneo.

Ciri-ciri pokok ini ialah batangnya yang lurus, kulit kayu yang licin dan mengelupas, akarnya yang berbanir kecil dan mampu mencapai ketinggian lebih 50 kaki. Selain itu, pokok ini kebanyakannya endemik di Sarawak.
